Salem Past and Present “Intermixt”

Katherine Kerestman will present the tragic history of the Salem Witch Trials, followed by a pictorial exploration of the culture of present-day Salem; the program will conclude with an overview of some of the other creepy destinations to which she has traveled – destinations associated with macabre stories all over the U.S., Mexico, Europe and China.
Following the program, Kerestman will be available for book sales and signing.
Kerestman is the author of Lethal (PsychoToxin Press, 2023) and Creepy Cat’s Macabre Travels: Prowling around Haunted Towers, Crumbling Castles, and Ghoulish Graveyards (WordCrafts Press, 2020). She is the co-editor (with S. T. Joshi) of The Weird Cat, an anthology of weird cat stories by writers living and dead (forthcoming from WordCrafts Press). Her Lovecraftian and gothic works have been featured in Black Wings VII, Penumbra, Journ-E, Spectral Realms, Illumen, Retro-Fan and The Little Book of Cursed Dolls (Media Macabre, 2023). Kerestman has a B.A. from John Carroll University and an M.A. from Case Western Reserve University, and she is a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association, the Jane Austen Society of North America, the Horror Writers Association, the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society and the Dracula Society. Kerestman is wild about Dark Shadows and Twin Peaks and has been seen cavorting in the graveyards of Salem on Halloween.
