The first act begins at 7:00 PM\, with a dastardly plot and amusing characters. \nThe audience then leaves the theater during intermission to search for hidden clues in the windows of nearby Chagrin Falls stores. This year for Christmas\, we’re giving you a gift: Buddy is back! CVLT presents this encore production with many of the cast returning\, including John Kolar in the title role. \nAdapted from one of the most beloved modern Christmas movies\, “Elf the Musical” transforms the story (originally a vehicle for actor Will Farrell) into a theatrical holiday treat for the whole family. “Elf” features songs by the Tony Award nominated Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway\, The Wedding Singer) and a script by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie\, The Producers\, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). The New York Times called it “splashy\, peppy\, sugar-sprinkled holiday entertainment!” and Variety said “ELF is happy enough for families\, savvy enough for city kids and plenty smart for adults!” \nChagrin Valley Little Theatre’s production runs weekends from November 17 through December 17\, with performances on Fridays\, Saturdays and select Sundays.
